HOMESTAY AND BOARDING

HOMESTAY AND BOARDING

HOMESTAY

Students under 18 enrolling at John Paul College can choose to live with a JPC approved homestay provider, a parent or legal guardian or a relative approved by the Department of Home Affairs. If students choose to live with a JPC approved homestay provider, then JPC is responsible for approving the arrangements for accommodation, support and general welfare.

The College Homestay Program is for Overseas Students for whom the College has official welfare arrangements (CAAW) or will have welfare arrangements. Study Tour students can also stay in the College Homestay Program.

The College Homestay Program is open to students in Years 7 -12. Students should be 12 years or older.

Living in an Australian Homestay is a valuable opportunity for you to experience Australia’s fantastic lifestyle and practise your English language skills in a safe, caring and supportive home environment. During your stay with your Homestay, you will be treated as a member of the family. In return, they expect you to show your respect, courtesy and consideration.

BOARDING

Boarding enables students to develop maturity, independence, self-confidence and resilience within a safe, caring and nurturing family environment.

Our boutique accommodation within a village atmosphere will make boarding a very special experience. The Village will accommodate 48 students in full boarding (24 hours, 7 days a week), weekly boarding (week day boarding only, travelling home on weekends) and occasional boarding (dependent on vacancies).

Located on campus, boarders will have numerous opportunities to grow and learn in the academic, sporting, cultural and service domains of our College.

The Boarding Master and staff will provide the highest level of residential care in a safe and nurturing learning environment.
