Our primary intake years are Year 7 and then Year 9. There are limited places in Year 8, 10 and 11 and Year 12 entry is not offered. Applicants are subject to meeting the agreed level of English proficiency as identified by the School.

SV500 International Students may enrol at Loreto Normanhurst in Year 7-12 and entry is limited to boarding places only. Please note, for students on PR or TR visas, entry is open from Year 5-12 and those students have the option of a boarding or day enrolment.

AEAS/English Language Requirements

The School requires the completion of an AEAS assessment which must be submitted with application documentation.

Loreto Normanhurst requires different levels of English ability for students entering at differing year levels.

The minimum English language requirement is: AEAS 70+.

Students whose English language does not meet AEAS 70+ requirements must enrol in 10-12 weeks’ ELICOS program. Guidelines below:

• For entry to Year 7-9: AEAS 50 + 10-12 weeks ELICOS program
• For entry to Year 9: AEAS 55 +10-12 weeks ELICOS program
• For entry to Year 10-11: AEAS 60 + 10-12 weeks ELICOS program

By the end of the 10-12 weeks student English language needs to be at 70+ so students are ready to start mainstream school at Loreto Normanhurst.
