ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION

Beaconhills College offers two accommodation options – Homestay or on-campus boarding.

Homestay is a wonderful way to learn about Australian family life and culture. Homestay families are carefully selected, approved and regularly reviewed.

Some of our Homestay families have hosted students over several years and many students form lasting friendships, staying in contact with families long after leaving Australia.

All families live close to Beaconhills College or with convenient public transport nearby. Each Homestay student is provided with a single, fully furnished room, three meals a day and laundry facilities. Alternatively, the College has limited on-campus boarding places available.

Australian adults who work closely with children, such as teachers and professional carers, must undergo a national criminal history check. All of our Homestay hosts hold a current ‘Working With Children’ card and have been screened for their suitability to work with, and care for, children.

Beaconhills College runs a boutique residential program. Our house is adjacent to the College - just a five minute walk to the centre of the Pakenham Campus.

The residence is staffed 24 hours, during term time, by qualified and experienced residential supervisors and mentors. All meal (breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, dinner and supper) are provided as well as a range of weekend activities.

Supervised study and support for academic and student wellbeing is catered for by the staff, as well as the opportunity to learn a range of life skills to help students develop into modern, global citizens ready to take on any challenges that come their way.
