ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION

At Kingswood College, we provide school-approved Homestay accommodation for international students aged 14 and over, starting from Year 9. This is done in full compliance with the National Code 2018 and Victorian Child Safe Standards, ensuring every international student is supported in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.

Our Rigorous Homestay Process:

  • We carefully recruit and screen each Homestay family, including in-person interviews with all adult family members residing permanently in the home.
  • Homes undergo regular in person visits every six months. These are conducted by our International Student Coordinators along with either the students Head of House, Year Level Coordinator, or the school Registrar.
  • All adult Homestay family members hold a Working With Children Check, receive training, and commit to abiding by Kingswood College’s Child Safe Policies.

Each Homestay Provides:

  • Safe, secure and welcoming family environment
  • Private bedroom with study space
  • Three meals per day
  • Support with daily routines and cultural adjustment
  • Easy access to public transport

The College maintains oversight of accommodation arrangements in accordance with all Australian Government international student welfare requirements.

Our International Student Coordinators maintain regular contact with both students and host families to ensure wellbeing and comfort.
