PASTORAL CARE

PASTORAL CARE

At Kingswood College, we aim to build a caring and inclusive community where every student is supported to succeed. We recognise that positive academic outcomes are established through strong pastoral care. Our wellbeing program promotes a respectful and supportive learning environment that encouraging personal growth, perseverance, and community.

Each morning, dedicated wellbeing teachers greet students, checking in with them to ensure they can start their day with confidence and a positive mindset. These regular connections support both wellbeing and readiness to learn.

Through strong pastoral care, we aim to equip students with the knowledge, resources and life skills they need for school and beyond. A cornerstone of our approach is Daily Physical Activity. Research shows that regular movement improves focus, memory and motivation, which support both learning and wellbeing.

International students are supported through:

  • Dedicated International Student Coordinators
  • Year Level Coordinators
  • School counselling and wellbeing services
  • Academic mentoring and progress monitoring
  • Peer support programs
  • Orientation program upon arrival

We actively monitor academic progress, attendance and wellbeing.

Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities to support social integration and cultural confidence.

We work closely with families to ensure students feel supported, safe and connected.

The College complies with all Australian child safety and international student welfare standards.
