International Students Experience

Year Patrons

Year Patrons ensure our international students are welcomed into the year group and take a special interest in their overall well-being.  They also help with friendships and connections within the peer group.

International Students Liaison Officer 

Masada’s Student Liaison Officer speaks fluent English and Mandarin plus Korean and Japanese.  This role helps students to work through cultural differences and bridge the gap between homestay, school and parents.

International Students Guardianship & Communication

ISA provides a vital role in the success of our international students, providing security, assistance and advice to ensure they have a positive experience whilst studying in Australia. All advocators with ISA form close connections and communication bonds with students’ parents so that parents can have frequent updates regarding students’ performance at school. 

Homestay Communication

All international students must stay with an immigration-approved relative or a family selected by a Masada-approved homestay company. International students are carefully matched with a homestay family to provide a caring and supportive home away from home. Our Head of International Affairs reaches out to host families to make sure that students' well-being is constantly monitored. 

Experienced Teachers 

Masada teachers are incredibly supportive of our international students especially in ensuring they receive any academic assistance they need. EAL/D classes are provided to students who need ongoing assistance mastering subject-specific vocabulary.

Friendly Peers 

Masada College is proud of its inclusive culture. The College has welcomed international students for more than a decade, creating a diverse school environment.
