ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
International applicants, for whom English is a second language, must meet the School’s English language proficiency requirements.
Kindergarten to Year 3
There are no English language proficiency requirements for students wishing to enter The Illawarra Grammar School from Kindergarten to Year 3.
Year 4 – Year 10
Students wishing to enrol from Year 4 to Year 10 must meet the following English language proficiency through AEAS:
- Year 4 - ≥30
- Year 5 - ≥35
- Year 6 - ≥40
- Year 7 - ≥61
- Year 8 - ≥61
- Year 9 - ≥71
- Year 10 - ≥81
Those applicants for Years 4 to 6 who do not meet the English language proficiency prerequisite will be required to attend the School’s Targeted English Program. A fee will apply. Learn more here.
