COCURRICULAR PROGRAM

The Illawarra Grammar School’s cocurricular program provides students with the opportunity to learn valuable lessons beyond what is possible within the confines of a classroom, enhancing their academic achievements and setting them up for success in later life.

The extent and diversity of the program reflects the School’s objective to deliver a holistic approach to each student’s academic, spiritual, physical, cultural, social and emotional development. Students are encouraged to embrace the opportunities on offer, allowing them to develop their unique gifts and talents to the fullest extent.

The School offers a diverse range of activities including sports, community service, visual and performing arts, academic challenge, language and culture clubs, chess, outdoor education and overseas tours.

TARGETED ENGLISH PROGRAM

Our Targeted English Program supports upper primary students in Years 4 to 6 whose second language is English and whose proficiency falls below the required level. This program is tailored to meet the unique needs of students requiring focused English language development, ensuring they acquire the content, knowledge and skills necessary for appropriate academic progress.

The Targeted English Program is offered on a termly basis. The cost for the program is equivalent to a full term’s tuition fees, and needs to be paid prior to the commencement of the program.
