ACCOMMODATION

ACCOMMODATION

Homestay

International students studying at the College are required to live with either a parent, Immigration approved relative/guardian, or enter our homestay program. The College organises homestay accommodation for students aged 13 years and above. The College organises its own Homestay program and does not outsource to third party providers.

Students entering Years 1 – 6 must live with a parent.

Homestay Coordinator

Our College Homestay Coordinator supports international students and is available at school. She also ensures homestay applicants are carefully selected, vetted, monitored and hold current Working With Children Clearances and Police Checks. International Students are welcome to speak with our Homestay Coordinator if they require further assistance.

Facilities

International students have their own private room and are provided with 3 meals per day. Homestays are located as near to the College as possible so that the student can have safe and reliable transport to and from the College. This may mean either walking to school, catching a local bus or being driven to the College by their homestay parent.

Out-of-School Activities

International students are invited to participate in family activities. Homestay parents actively encourage out-of-school activities such as basketball, music, dance classes etc. Our homestay parents take a keen interest in supporting the international student, emotionally, socially and academically.

Location

Melbourne, Australia, is the Capital of the State of Victoria. It is a leading education centre, rich in cultural diversity.

Chirnside Park is located on the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is a safe area, which provides access to local shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment (e.g., cinemas, sporting hubs and outdoor parks).

Wellbeing

The academic, social and emotional wellbeing of each student is important to us. Our goal is for a student to settle well in their new home environment and ultimately become a valued member of their homestay family, fostering long term relationships.

A positive entry into the College and homestay experience are integral to an international student’s academic success!
