ABOUT THE SCHOOL

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Scotch College is a co-educational boarding and day school from ELC to Year 12, founded in 1919 and situated on 21 hectares of beautiful grounds.

Our international students share their country's culture, customs and history which adds to the learning experience of all students.

International students learn to live, study and make friends in Australia. In an increasingly globalised world, international students can make a great contribution to both cultural understanding and future economic and commercial interactions.

Throughout their education at Scotch, international students work towards improving their English, achieving their best grades and developing lasting friendships.

Students work towards achieving a high Tertiary Entrance Ranking (TER), enabling university entrance. Scotch graduates regularly achieve excellent results, and most go on to university study either in Adelaide, interstate or overseas.

At Scotch we recommend our international students reside in our boarding house, where support staff ensure a high level of individual care and attention in a caring, family environment. Some students prefer homestay accommodation and Scotch has partnered with The Australian Homestay Network and Happy Homestay to arrange local families who welcome international students into their homes.

There is a full-time International Student Coordinator looking after the welfare of all international students.
